Colossians and Philemon: Jesus is the King over Everything

A 10-week program built around the kid-friendly translation and captivating illustrations of the Epistles for Kids  Colossians and Philemon books, Youthworks Ministry Support has created a 10-week teaching syllabus that helps kids engage directly with the text of Colossians and Philemon for themselves. 

Each week contains an introductory section, instructions for reading, teaching and discussion, and ideas for craft activities.

Colossians is perfect for kids, because, like all children - the Colossians were young in their faith. In this letter, the Apostle Paul shows the Colossians the magnificence and sufficiency of Christ for their every spiritual need and calls them to stick with him. You can see this centrality of King Jesus reflected in the section titles of our 10-week teaching program. This is the message that young disciples need to hear today. In a world constantly calling them to mix their faith with worldly ideas and values, God’s message to us in Colossians can cut through with the power to ground children in a faith in King Jesus that they can build on for a lifetime.
